Super Eagles stars William Troost-Ekong, Oghenekaro Etebo and Emmanuel Dennis were in action for Watford against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup draw on Tuesday.

While Troost-Ekong and Etebo played every minute of the match, Emmanuel Dennis came in in the second half.

The former Club Brugge striker was introduced by coach Munoz Xisco in the 46th minute for Josh King.

Ashley Fletcher scored the only goal of the game in the 84th minute.

After the game, said coach Munos Xisco, the players put in a well-balanced performance.

“The most important thing today in the game was that we had a really good order,” said Munoz.

“We always had the right distance in the lines, always I think we understood what was going on in the game. We know that in front of us we have had very difficult situations sometimes. But the most important thing was that we gave that balance.

“In the last two games we’ve scored a lot of goals. I believe that today we had this balance and did not receive any.

“We had a couple of chances in the game, but it’s important to have patience and to wait until the moment to try our luck.” He said.
