With the rumor that Sead Kolasinac will be leaving Arsenal this summer, it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
One team that seems perfectly suited are London and Crystal Palace, their Premier League rivals.
First up, here’s a look at transfer rumors linking Kolasinac to an Emirates Stadium exit.
According to CalcioMercato, Arsenal are preparing to sell the 27-year-old this summer.
It is understood the Gunners only want £ 3.5million from his sale, amid the interest of Italian clubs Lazio and Napoli in him. It should be noted that he is set to enter the final year of his contract with Arsenal.
Additionally, 61sat reports that Turkish team Trabzonspor has made a loan offer for him.
Kolasinac was signed by Arsenal in 2017, while Arsène Wenger was still in charge. He has therefore toured the club during the difficult years since the departure of the legendary manager.
The left-back has made 113 appearances for the Gunners, but spent the second half of this past season on loan with Schalke. Unfortunately, they were relegated from the German Bundesliga.
He is now due to return to the Emirates this summer after his loan ended, but there is strong information about his departure.
Arsenal set to probe Crystal Palace as buyer for Sead Kolasinac
Palace is not yet included in the list of potential suitors for Kolasinac, but perhaps they should be.
Palace, along with Tottenham and Everton, are a Premier League club that do not have a manager in place for next season.
First, they need a new boss at Selhurst Park. But after that, targets should be researched to improve an exhausted squad.
Palace bids farewell to 30-year-old full-back Patrick van Aanholt as his contract expires (BBC), so a replacement at the left rear will have to be signed.
Kolasinac seems a reasonable target on paper, especially at a low of £ 3.5million.
The Bosnian left-back must feel he still has a point to prove when he returns to England. And it would be great to see him again in the Premier League.
With Palace in need of a new build, Arsenal’s wide man could inject them with new energy at left-back.
He could compete with Palace’s 21-year-old Tyrick Mitchell to be the left-back. It’s easy to imagine him fitting in very well in London.
If Kolasinac can get back to his best form, £ 3.5million is a ridiculous windfall.
The 27-year-old is set to make a fresh start in a Premier League side if he so chooses.
