We are happy to announce two more pre-season friendlies coming up next month against Leyton Orient and MK Dons as part of our preparations for the new season.
The match against Leyton Orient will take place at Breyer Group Stadium on Saturday July 17th, kick off at 3pm and will see us compete for the JE3 Foundation Trophy.
It is now two years since Justin Edinburgh, highly regarded former Spurs defender and manager of the Orient, has passed away and £ 2 from every match ticket sold will be donated to the JE3 Foundation established in his memory.
The JE3 Foundation aims to support UK heart health charities and campaign for a legislative change – Justin’s Law – to make it compulsory to equip all health, fitness and sports facilities in a public access defibrillator (PAD).
Charlie Edinburgh, Justin’s son and founder of the JE3 Foundation, said: “First and foremost, as a family, the fact that two clubs that meant so much to Justin and us as a family come together to offer a spectacle for the supporters is incredible.
“It’s very upsetting and very humiliating that the two clubs want to come together to remember Dad with a friendly match, with a percentage of the collected profits going to the JE3 Foundation, which is an incredible touch. This shows the continued support from both clubs for the great job we are doing. “
