Following Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s press conference was somewhat overshadowed.

Most of the questions were about – naturally – the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, although there was still time to talk about Amad Diallo.

According to Fabrice Romano, the 19-year-old is a target for Crystal Palace.

What did Ole Gunner Solskjaer say?

As quoted by Manchester United official site, Solskjaer said: “It’s not 100% signed but we agree. I don’t have to say what team it is yet, but we have found a place that Amad is excited about and we are passionate about.

The Norwegian is clearly keeping his cards close to his chest.

According to Air sports, Sheffield United want the Ivorian international as well, so it will be interesting to know where Diallo is heading.

With Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford on the flanks, the teenager’s playing time was to suffer.

There is no doubt that Amad could one day become a true superstar, but for now, he needs to play to continue his development.

What would Crystal Palace offer Amad Diallo?

A prodigy with the world at its feet is what Crystal Palace would get if they signed Diallo.

There’s a reason Manchester United paid £ 18.7million to sign him, despite having virtually no senior experience under his belt.

As we have seen before, Diallo has been compared to Lionel Messi and Riyad Mahrez, given his tendency to cut himself on the inside of the left foot.

Patrick Vieira has a huge problem on the right flank, where he lacks a natural winger to do exactly what Diallo specializes in.

In this regard, the Ivorian prodigy would solve a major problem for the Eagles.

Now we can only wait and see where it ends, after Solskjaer’s teasing comments.
