Private Equity Firms Extend Financial Leadership Immersion Program


RALEIGH, NC – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Capital Investment Companies, one of the largest independent financial services and brokerage firms in the Southeastern United States, in conjunction with NC State University Poole College of Management, is pleased to announce the expansion the Financial Leadership Immersion Program (FLIP). Through the FLIP program, private equity firms will provide at least two students each semester an opportunity to further develop the world-class knowledge acquired at NC State as well as a unique opportunity to help expand the Carolinas Index while developing marketing and research information on the Top 75 Public Companies in North and South Carolina. This semester, the FLIP program will consist of three interns, including two interns focused on marketing and one intern in finance. Marketing interns Anne-Wesley Taylor and April VanNieuwland focus on overall digital marketing strategy, including updating the Capital Investment Companies website and social media. Finance intern Wesley Williams will perform fundamental and technical analysis of stocks.
