Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has been surveyed by Real Madrid for his role as manager.
According to The telegraph, the Portuguese coach was contacted before the club named Carlo Ancelotti.
Mourinho was called up late last week and again this weekend. But, the 58-year-old has told Los Blancos he is not interested in returning to the club.
The former Spurs man was sacked by the Lilywhites just days before the Carabao Cup final. However, he made a quick comeback to management, accepting the Roma post on May 4.

However, it seems that he remains a top and quality coach in the minds of Real Madrid.
One wonders if the sacking was not a hasty decision by Tottenham.
His tenure came amid the coronavirus pandemic, where clubs were forced to spend less than usual.
A combination of stadium debts and losses owed to the present day has left the Lilywhites in a financial hole.
As a result, Mourinho never really got a chance to complete a redesign of his squad. Just under £ 100million was spent last summer with the vast majority of the squad staying the same.
Meanwhile, Mourinho has started the campaign well. The team led the league in December, a sign that their tactics and methods were working.
Real Madrid and his pursuit of Mourinho for his vacant managerial post makes you think. Were the Spurs too hasty to sack the figure? It seems that the horse may have gotten carried away too quickly on this occasion.
It still has a large hunger and desire to win. If he had been allowed to bring in his own players, things might have been so different.
