According to Daily mail, Crystal Palace wants to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea.
Interestingly, the Daily mail write that the Eagles want to make a deal “now”.
This is despite the fact that Roy Hodgson’s replacement has yet to be found.
In that regard, you could argue that Steve Parish, Dougie Freedman, and the rest of those upstairs at Crystal Palace are convinced by Gallagher.
There could be a stumbling block, however. the Daily mail add that Thomas Tuchel is willing to watch Gallagher before making a decision.
Nonetheless, you can understand why there is such a desire to bring the 21-year-old to Selhurst Park.
Crystal Palace fans may remember Conor Gallagher
Well Crystal Palace fans might remember the England Under-21 international in the 5-1 win over West Brom this season.
On a day the Baggies were hammered, it was Gallagher who scored West Brom’s only goal with a calm finish to equalize.
It was just one of the of them Premier League goals scored by the attacking midfielder last season.
However, you can forgive his poor count, as West Brom struggled largely.
In our opinion, Gallagher is exactly what Crystal Palace needs to cool off.
South Londoners have one of the oldest teams in the Premier League and particularly lack youthful exuberance in the midfield.
With or without a manager, the Eagles should try to close this deal quickly, before anyone tries to sign Gallagher.
